Lincoln Primary School - New Classroom Block and Library

A new single storey classroom block was constructed at Lincoln Primary School that includes 8 teaching spaces and a library workspace. The work site was in very close proximity to the rest of the school community but our fencing, gates and access controls kept students, staff and visitors to site safe at all times.

Structural elements were a key aspect of this project with the large steel structure encased in tray cladding to create a striking and impressive building which encloses the field and finishes of the site redevelopment for Lincoln Primary School.

The building bends around a concrete verandah with toilets and bag storage area and looks out over new landscaping elements including a dance stage and tiered seating.

A high level of interior fit-out was achieved with joinery completed by Aspen Joinery, autex wall coverings and various flooring element to suit the differing spaces within these flexible learning spaces.

Clear and effective communication with the School and the MOE was maintained for the duration of the project which ensured disruption was minimised, please find comments below from the MOE Delivery Manager on our performance.

“From the tender phase through to post occupancy reviews, communication from Hann was clear, prompt and honest throughout. Hann's accommodating and capable approach adapted seamlessly to a live and changeable school environment. Exceptional relationships with suppliers and subcontractors meant re-sequencing of works was possible to meet the required programme. Pro-active and reliable provlem solving meant finalising queries faster with the design team and receiving clear pass inspections from council to allow construction to progress... Communciation with school appointed subcontractors and suppliers was smooth, and health and safety in a school environment paid the utmost attention all the way through."
